Collection: Lithium Batteries

A Gel battery is a maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid battery that uses a thick, jelly-like electrolyte to store energy, making it durable and resistant to leaks and spills. In contrast, a Lithium-ion battery uses lithium-containing compounds for its electrodes, offering significantly higher energy density, faster charging, a much longer lifespan, and lighter weight than gel batteries, making it the preferred choice for modern, high-performance applications like electric vehicles and portable electronics.

A lithium battery is an energy storage device that uses lithium ions to generate and store electricity, consisting of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte that facilitates the movement of these ions during charging and discharging cycles. Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are a popular type of rechargeable lithium battery, known for their high energy density and use in portable electronics like cell phones and electric cars, while non-rechargeable lithium-metal batteries are also used in other applications like smoke detectors.
